Guest API
IRIS® Guest API
Build your own or embed IRIS® into an existing app
Our guest facing products are built using the IRIS® GXP Guest API. This powerful API is also used by our customers and partners to build their own bespoke guest experiences on Web, Mobile, Tablet and Voice.
Use the IRIS® Guest REST API to develop the following features:

Point of Sale
POS Integration
The IRIS® GXP POS Integration Framework provides a seamless link between your guest and the kitchen:
• Import POS menu items and modifiers into the IRIS GXP with our true integration (not a database match)
• Enrich menu item content for guest consumption using IRIS GXP's
powerful CMS
• Automatic synchronisation of new items, deleted items, price changes,
modifier changes
• Sits on top of the powerful GXP Group/Brand/Property hierarchy, allowing for
centralised management of shared brand level menus
• Calculation of basket totals, taxes, charges and tips
• Orders sent directly to the POS system
• Orders are also stored in IRIS® GXP with full Group/Brand/Property reporting
and analysis
Bring your own POS Integration - we integrate with the world's leading POS systems, but that's not where it ends. The GXP POS Integration Framework also provides support for customer/partner developed integrations allowing the benefits of the GXP POS integration to be applied to any POS system with an API. Simply implement 3 API calls and realise all the same POS integration benefits outlined above.
Property Management System
PMS Integration
In certain scenarios, our products work better with guest information available to them. That's where IRIS® PMS Integration Framework comes in. Instead of manually entering data into the IRIS GXP Front Desk, this can be automatically synchronised with your PMS in realtime.
GXP monitors the following PMS events:
• Check-In
• Check-Out
• Room Moves
• Guest Information Changes (e.g. name change)
Bring your own PMS Integration - we appreciate there are a lot of PMS's out there, so like our POS Integration Framework we also provide a generic API to allow customers/partners to build their own PMS integrations based on the HTNG standard.
Payments
Payment Integration
Alongside our charge to room and cash options sit the IRIS® GXP Payment Integration Framework.
We integrate with leading payment providers to deliver a seamless, rapid
guest checkout experience as part of our F&B ordering module.
Payments can be taken in standalone non-POS integrated scenarios (tax calculations provided by IRIS® GXP) and POS integrated scenarios with immediate refunds in the event of a downstream order creation failure
in POS.
Service Optimisation System
SOS Integration
The IRIS® GXP SOS Integration Framework removes the need for hotel staff to monitor IRIS® GXP for service requests by sending them directly to your SOS.
Not only that, GXP monitors SOS for changes and provides status updates to guests.
Need an integration we don't have?
To help us focus our development team on features all our customers can enjoy, we developed a way for customers/partners to build their own integrations. Integrate literally any system with an API and embed your user experience directly into IRIS® Guest Web, IRIS® Guest Mobile, and IRIS® Guest Room apps using our 'guest context aware' encrypted URL technology.
